If You Need a CC Plan… {GIVEAWAY}

I just love peeking into the lives of other homeschool families to see what they use to create an atmosphere of learning all to God's glory!  I appreciate that parents have different teaching styles and kids have different learning styles.  We also all have different seasons of life that allow us to tackle more or scale back. And so, in the end, each families' homeschool plan looks different and reflects their uniqueness as a family.

A few weeks ago in this post I told you about my friend Colleen over at Sola Gratia Mom who has created a weekly schedule for parents who want to use the memory work as a spine and dig deeper at home.  Her resource directs you to activities or information that build on the memory work each week.  You can find out more about the Teaching Plan HERE.  While you are at it, enter the My Memory Work Lapbooks Free Giveaway on her site, and see how she uses them!  And don't miss her freebie downloads like the Latin File-Folder Match-Up or the Planning Checklists!  She has also created "Wonderful Wednesdays" – a project-based day that utilizes the "My Memory Work Lapbooks" I created, and could be done as a family, or with a group of homeschool moms for a little more fun.

So Colleen, what led you to create this resource?

"I hope that the Teaching Plans will be an enrichment to an already exceptional program.  I also hope it will help families not feel the pressure to run curriculums alongside of an already exceptional and full curriculum if they are left feeling like they could be doing more.  It's a freeing concept once you get ahold of what Leigh has provided for us and "trust the model" so to speak.  I also know that there are many hands-on learners at the younger ages and Mommas that are crafty and enjoy doing hands-on learning with their kids too, but don't have the time it takes to research it all – so this provides that option to them.  I wanted to inspire families to take what Leigh already has provided and do what they love and their kids enjoy, to inspire you both as you move through the Foundations years and make memories in the process."

And Now for the Giveaway……

Colleen has graciously offered two of her resources to be given away to you, my readers!  If this sounds like something you would like to integrate into your homeschool year, be sure to enter the free giveaway below!  Giveaway ends July 24th!

Disclaimer:  Deep down, I have a tendency towards rebellion – I like to "boldy go where no man (er, woman) has gone before", which basically means I formulate our own homeschool plan each year and find out along the way what was a crazy idea, and what worked great.  That said, we have not chosen to use Colleen's plan before, but I have dug through it and can appreciate the ease in which you could build off of the memory work using her plan, and have a fantastic year.

Blessings,

Karen
