Easy Homeschool Checklist!
Last week, I wrote a post about my "circle of sanity" - the way we organize our homeschool materials to make it easy throughout the day. At the end of that post, I promised I would also show you our checklist system, so here it is! Homeschool Checklist Systems: I have tried a number of checklist systems. One year, I used an app that did work pretty well, but was quickly discontinued. There are also a couple of computer-based scheduling programs I have utilized in the … [Read more...]
An Easier Homeschool Day!
I think a lot of parenting and homeschooling is perseverance. Just plugging along even when it is tough. I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all answer. But I thought I would share this little routine we have used the past few years that has made the homeschool routine MUCH easier on this momma and kiddos. Easy to manage, easy to implement, and easy to maintain. The one purchase that streamlined our day... First of all, each of my children and I have a "tub". It is just a plastic … [Read more...]
Latin Adjective Charts
Our Challenge A class has moved on to studying Adjectives. I wrote a post describing how I am encouraging my Foundations/Essentials kids to copy the Latin charts so they will get ahead of the curve in Challenge A, making them feel more successful. In my class and online, I shared this FREE NOUN CHART, and now wanted to share the ADJECTIVE CHART with you in case you wanted to add a little to your Latin studies. Similar to nouns, Latin adjectives have declensions, though luckily there are … [Read more...]

So there are a number of things we will be memorizing this year, and since I love hearing about what you all are doing, I figured I would post what we are doing. Today I will focus on Memory Work, and later this week I will fill you in on the rest of our studies. Memory Work … [Read more...]
New Testament Greek – Memory Work
I love everything we learn in our Classical Conversations curriculum. It has opened my eyes to just how much we can memorize as a family through music and motion! While I see the value in learning Latin, I personally feel more challenged and earnest to learn New Testament Greek. Koine Greek is the language of the New Testament, and hearing the words of Jesus in the language he spoke is so incredibly motivating to me! What greater gift than to enable your children (and yourself) to … [Read more...]
Memory Masters
My oldest two kiddos are 6 & 8. Last year when they were 5 & 7, they both wanted to do Memory Masters. While I was excited about their willingness to try something difficult at such a young age, I knew that meant I had a lot of work in my future to help prepare them. Since they were so young, I set in my heart that we would work diligently together as long as they were interested, and tried to encourage them. If at any time they lost interest, I was ok with that. They both … [Read more...]
